Invitrogen™ AID Monoclonal Antibody (1AID-2E11)
Mouse Monoclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ MA3081
Description
MA3-081 detects AID from human, and mouse samples. MA3-081 has been successfully used in Western blot, immunofluorescence, flow cytometry, and ELISA applications. The MA3-081 immunogen is the synthetic peptide coupled to ovalalbumin, aa 185 to 198. MA3-081 detects Isoform 1 (~24kDa) and Isoform 2 (~22kDa) in human samples.
This gene encodes a RNA-editing deaminase that is a member of the cytidine deaminase family. The protein is involved in somatic hypermutation, gene conversion, and class-switch recombination of immunoglobulin genes. Defects in this gene are the cause of autosomal recessive hyper-IgM immunodeficiency syndrome type 2 (HIGM2).
