Description
Reacts with a 125kDa, disulfide-linked heterodimer composed of a glycosylated heavy chain, type II membrane glycoprotein and a non-glycosylated light chain. CD98 is broadly expressed on peripheral blood lymphocytes, monocytes and granulocytes (low). It is also expressed on non-hemtopoietic cells. Reports suggest that CD98 may be involved in the regulation of cellular activation. This antibody is routinely tested by flow cytometric analysis. Other applications were tested at BD Biosciences Pharmingen during antibody
development only or reported in the literature.
