The Vacuum Bottle Trap is a useful tool for easy and continuous liquid aspiration with vacuum when aspirating tissue culture media, wash solutions, supernatant fluids after centrifugation, chemical waste, etc. The Aspirator Bottle safely retains up to 1600 mL (54 oz) of fluids while the attached trap protects the vacuum source from accidental fluid backflow. A flexible collection tube reaches from the bottle and accepts disposable 1 mL pipet tips, glass Pasteur or 2 mL pipets for work with Petri dishes, microtiter plates, flasks and centrifugal tubes. The small footprint of the epoxy coated steel wire cage supports the collection vessel and secondary vacuum trap without crowding your workspace. The heavy wall two liter (64 oz) polypropylene collection bottle and all components withstand 27” (686 mm) of mercury vacuum and all parts are steam autoclavable at 121°C (250°F).
