Description

α1-Antitrypsin, CAS 9041-92-3, is a protease inhibitor of the serpin superfamily. Inhibits elastase, cathepsin G, and proteinase 3.

A single polypeptide chain of 394 amino acids and three carbohydrate side chains linked to asparagine residues present at about 290mg/100mL in acute phase plasma. Serine protease inhibitor that also acts as a major physiological regulator of elastase. Inhibitor of neutrophil elastase, cathepsin G, and proteinase 3.
