Description
The U45-632 monoclonal antibody specifically binds to mouse CD181, also known as C-X-C chemokine receptor type 1 (CXCR1) or IL-8 receptor . CD181 is a chemokine receptor of the G-protein coupled receptor 1 family, also known as seven-transmembrane domain receptors. In the mouse, which is not known to express IL-8 (CXCL8), CD181 binds to mouse GCP-2 (CXCL6). Mouse CD181 can also bind to human IL-8. CD181 is expressed by neutrophils, which are activated upon ligand binding. The chemokine receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2 play an important role in mediating neutrophil recruitment and neutrophil-dependent injury in several models of inflammation.
