Rat Monoclonal Antibody

Description: The 13MOKA monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse CD213 alpha 1 (interleukin-13 receptor alpha 1, IL-13Ra1). CD213a1 is the low-affinity IL-13 receptor which mediates normal IL-13 inflammatory signaling. It has been shown that CD213a1 binds to IL-13 which then recruits CD124 (IL-4Ralpha) to stabilize the low-affinity interaction and form the active signaling complex. The CD213a1/CD124 complex can also serve as a receptor for IL-4, although the role of CD213a1 in this complex is poorly understood. CD213a1 is expressed on activated B and T cells and other cells. Applications Reported: This 13MOKA antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This 13MOKA antibody has been tested on mouse splenocytes stimulated for 3 days with Anti-CD3 and Anti-CD28 Functional Grade antibodies. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Excitation: 488-561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

The protein encoded by this gene is a subunit of the interleukin 13 receptor. This subunit forms a receptor complex with IL4 receptor alpha, a subunit shared by IL13 and IL4 receptors. This subunit serves as a primary IL13-binding subunit of the IL13 receptor, and may also be a component of IL4 receptors. This protein has been shown to bind tyrosine kinase TYK2, and thus may mediate the signaling processes that lead to the activation of JAK1, STAT3 and STAT6 induced by IL13 and IL4.
