Description

Description

Description: The monoclonal antibody AT130-2 reacts with mouse CD32b, also known as Fc-gamma receptor IIb. CD32b is the only inhibitory member of the Fc-gamma receptor family. Immune complex engagement of CD32b results in the phosphorylation of its intracellular ITIM motif. This engagement serves to attenuate B cell receptor (BCR) signaling and other activating signals, reduces proliferation, reduces antibody production, and may also deliver apoptotic signals. CD32b is the only Fc-gamma receptor expressed by B cells. CD32b is also expressed on monocytes, dendritic cells, neutrophils, eosinophils and basophils, as well as B cell progenitors and plasma cells. AT130-2 has been reported to have agonist activity. Applications Reported: This AT130-2 antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This AT130-2 antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analysis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 0.5 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Excitation: 633-647 nm; Emission: 660 nm; Laser: Red Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.

This gene encodes one member of a family of immunoglobulin Fc receptor genes found on the surface of many immune response cells. The protein encoded by this gene is a cell surface receptor found on phagocytic cells such as macrophages and neutrophils, and is involved in the process of phagocytosis and clearing of immune complexes. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.
