Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody

Preparation: This antibody was obtained from a rabbit immunized with purified, recombinant Human CD66c (CEACAM6) (Met1-Gly320) and conjugated with PE under optimum conditions, the unreacted PE was removed. Storage: This antibody can be stored at 2C-8C for twelve months without detectable loss of activity. Protected from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze! Sodium azide is toxic to cells and should be disposed of properly. Flush with large volumes of water during disposal.

CEA Cell Adhesion Molecule 6 (CEACAM6) belongs to the carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA) family whose members are glycosyl phosphatidyl inositol (GPI) anchored cell surface glycoproteins. Members of this family play a role in cell adhesion and are widely used as tumor markers in serum immunoassay determinations of carcinoma. CEACAM6 affects the sensitivity of tumor cells to adenovirus infection. The acts as a receptor for adherent-invasive E. coli adhesion to the surface of ileal epithelial cells in patients with Crohn's disease.
