Description
MA3-901 detects CNG channel from human, mouse and rat samples. MA3-901 has been successfully used in Western blotting and immunohistochemistry procedures. By Western blot MA3-901 detects a band representing CNG channel. MA3-901 is specific to the a2 subunit of the CNG channel. The MA3-901 immunogen is a MBP-fusion protein of the C-terminal region of the rat a2 subunit (amino acids K581-D670).
This gene encodes a member of the cyclic nucleotide-gated cation channel protein family which is required for normal vision and olfactory signal transduction. Mutations in this gene are associated with achromatopsia (rod monochromacy) and color blindness. Two alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described.
