MA1-40157 detects C3a/C3a des-Arg from human samples. MA1-40157 has been successfully used in Western blot and ELISA applications. Positive control: Activated human serum or purified human C3a desArg protein; Negative control: For Western blot, any irrelevant protein can be used.

Complement component C3 plays a central role in the activation of complement system. Its activation is required for both classical and alternative complement activation pathways. People with C3 deficiency are susceptible to bacterial infection.
