This consistometer is the ideal tool to measure consistency and flow rate of viscous substances.

This consistometer is the ideal tool to measure consistency and flow rate of viscous substances. The rate of sample flow is measured by observing how far it travels during a specific time interval. A consistometer is commonly used to test consistency of products such as sauces, jams/jellies, dressings, paint, and chemicals. The consistometer is made of polished stainless steel construction with easy to read 0.5 cm increments. The spring-loaded gate holds about 75 mL of sample. Two leveling screws adjust the angle, and a spirit level helps with precision.
