Description

The Countess Reusable Slide helps reduce costs and generate less waste when counting cells on the Countess II FL, Countess 3, and Countess 3 FL automated cell counters. The Countess 3 and 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder is required for use (also compatible with Countess II FL).

The Countess Reusable Slide offers a greener and cost-effective alternative to automated cell counting with disposable slides and is designed for use with the Countess II FL, Countess 3, and Countess 3 FL automated cell counters. The Countess 3 and 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder holds the Countess Reusable Slide and is included with the Countess 3 and 3 FL automated cell counters (also compatible with Countess II FL).

The Countess Reusable Slide is a green and cost-efficient alternative to disposable slides for automated cell counting. The reusable slide enables researchers and cell culture facilities to reduce costs and generate less waste per year, making it affordable for labs to automate their cell counts. The reusable slide is cleaned and dried between counts, just as with a hemocytometer.

Each Countess Reusable Slide has two chambers for counting one sample in duplicate or two different samples. Cell counting occurs in a central location of the counting chamber. The volume counted is 0.4 μL, the same as counting four 1-mm2 squares in a standard hemocytometer. The Countess Reusable Slide can be used with the Countess II FL, Countess 3, and Countess 3 FL automated cell counters.

The Countess 3 and 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder is included with the Countess 3 and 3 FL automated cell counters and is compatible with Countess II FL. A replacement Countess 3 and 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder (Cat. No. A48208) is available for separate purchase. Special tensioning springs hold the sample securely, ensuring a repeatable field of view (FOV) and consistent counts. The Countess 3 and 3 FL Reusable Slide Holder accepts the Countess Reusable Slide (Cat. No. A25750). It is not compatible with Countess disposable slides.
