Corticotropin-Releasing Factor (CRF) High-Sentivity Mouse/Rat ELISA (96 wells). High sensitivity EIA (enzyme immunoassay) for quantitative determination of CRF in mouse/rat plasma or brain tissue extracts. No sample pretreatment required. The kit is highly specific for mouse/rat CRF and shows no crossreactivity to ACTH, urocortin 1, urocortin 2 (mouse) and urocortin 3 (mouse, rat). Manufactured by Yanaihara Institute, Japan. SAMPLE REQ: 50 L. ASSAY RANGE 0.078-2.5 ng/mL. SUMMARY: CRF is a peptide hormone involved in stress response. CRF plays a major role in inflammation response and thus inflammatory diseases. Measurement of CRF may be useful in the study of nervous problems (ex. anxiety, sleep disturbances, anorexia nervosa) and also Alzheimers disease and chronic fatigue syndrome. During pregnancy, low CRF production by the foetus or the placenta can result in miscarriage.
