Description

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Human Cyclin A2 shares 74.5% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse Cyclin A2. Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: human K562 whole cell, human HL-60 whole cell, human MCF-7 whole cell, rat stomach tissue, rat testis tissue, mouse stomach tissue. IHC: human colorectal adenocarcinoma tissue. ICC/IF: A431 cell. Flow: U20S cell. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Cyclins are regulatory subunits of the cyclin-dependent kinases (cdks) and they control transition at different specific phases of the cell cycle. The temporal expression of cyclins is tightly regulated and subsequently plays a critical role in controlling the enzymatic activity of cdks. These cyclin / cdk complexes are essential for passage through specific stages in the cell cycle. In mammalian somatic cells, cyclin A is required for S phase and passage through G2-phase.
