Description

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

• JAM-A belongs to the immunoglobulin superfamily and the junctional adhesion molecular (JAM) family.
• JAM-A is a transmembrane receptor that is predominantly expressed at intercellular junctions of both epithelial and endothelial cells.
• JAMA exhibits homophilic interactions to regulate tight junction assembly and modulate paracellular permeability.
• This homophilic interaction also mediates platelet aggregation and adhesion to endothelial cells and may play a role in thrombosis.
• JAMA is also a ligand for the integrin LFA1, involved in leukocyte transmigration, and a receptor for reovirus.
