- Chromogenic-fluorogenic medium for detecting total coliforms and Escherichia coli in 24 hours or less
- Under ambient light, E. coli exhibits bluish-gray appearance; under long-wave UV light, it displays blue-green fluorescence
- Coliform are cream under ambient light, and display blue-white fluorescence under long-wave UV light
- Conforms to EPA Method 1604 for monitoring drinking water under the Total Coliform Rule, and source water under the Surface Water Treatment
