Invitrogen™ DNase II Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ PA519900
Description
In Western blot applications, this antibody detects a band at ~40kDa, which represents the pro-enzyme of DNase II. A suggested positive control is human spleen tissue lysate. PA5-19900 can be used with blocking peptide PEP-0026.
DNase II is a member of the DNase family. The protein, located in the lysosome, hydrolyzes DNA under acidic conditions and mediates the breakdown of DNA during erythropoiesis and apoptosis. Two codominant alleles have been characterized, DNASE2*L (low activity) and DNASE2*H (high activity), that differ at one nucleotide in the promoter region. The DNASE2*H allele is represented in this record.
