Adding 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Human EIF6 shares 99.3% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with both mouse and rat EIF6. Positive Control - WB: human placenta tissue, human CACO-2 whole cell, human HEPG2 whole cell, human K562 whole cell, human A549 whole cell, human PC-3 whole cell, human Hela whole cell, human U87 whole cell, rat kidney tissue, rat testis tissue, mouse HEPA1-6 whole cell. IHC: human intestinal cancer tissue, human mammary cancer tissue, human lung cancer tissue, rat spleen tissue. Flow: U20S cell. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Hemidesmosomes are structures which link the basal lamina to the intermediate filament cytoskeleton. An important functional component of hemidesmosomes is the integrin beta-4 subunit (ITGB4), a protein containing two fibronectin type III domains. The protein encoded by this gene binds to the fibronectin type III domains of ITGB4 and may help link ITGB4 to the intermediate filament cytoskeleton. The encoded protein, which is insoluble and found both in the nucleus and in the cytoplasm, can function as a translation initiation factor and prevent the association of the 40S and 60S ribosomal subunits. Multiple transcript variants encoding two different isoforms have been found for this gene.
