Invitrogen™ Cell Copper (Cu) Colorimetric Assay Kit
Description
The Cell Copper Colorimetric Assay Kit is a highly reliable and sensitive assay designed for the quantitative measurement of copper ion content in cells.
In this assay, under acidic conditions, copper ions in the sample react with a complexing agent to form a purple complex that has a maximum absorption peak at 580 nm. The copper ion content can be calculated indirectly by measuring the OD value at 580 nm.
Key features
• Simple and fast protocol—user-friendly, requiring minimal hands-on time and providing rapid results within a short incubation period
• Broad range of kits—across key analytes and targets within the most important metabolic pathways
• Consistent—strict quality control criteria to ensure reproducible and reliable results
