PvuRts1I is an enzyme that can specifically digest DNA containing 5-hydroxymethylcytosine (5-hmC). This restriction endonucleaseis used to analyze 5-hmC patterns genomic DNA by cleaving both glucosylated and non-glucosylated 5-hmC DNA sequences.
