Thermo Scientific Pyrophosphatase, Inorganic catalyzes the hydrolysis of inorganic pyrophosphate into two orthophosphates (see Figure 1 in Supporting data). The enzyme requires a divalent metal cation with Mg2+ conferring the highest activity.
