- 4-well panel containing the antifungals incorporated into an agar medium in different concentrations
- Concentrations:
- Itraconazole: 4 mg/L
- Voriconazole: 2 mg/L
- Posaconazole: 0.5 mg/L
- Concentrations:
- Any clinical or environmental A. fumigatus isolate can be tested but needs to be sporulated
- Cultures have to be incubated for at least 2 to 3 days
- Isolates should be cultured on potato dextrose agar or sabouraud dextrose agar (with or without chloramphenicol), or other culture medium where the fungus is able to sporulate sufficiently
- Results read visually at the end of incubation
