Description

Can be used as a replacement reagent for the BD™ Gram Stain Kits. BD™ Gram Decolorizer is used in a 4-step Gram staining process, before counterstaining. Available in 250ml solution bottles for direct use or gallon containers for bulk storage.

Gram Staining is used to differentiate gram-positive and gram-negative microorganisms from cultures or specimens. This Gram Decolorizer is an acetone (25%)/isopropanol (75%) solution for rapid decolorization, prior to counterstaining.

  • Complete stain kits reduce the mess associated with Gram staining procedures
  • Break-resistant solution bottle features a hinged cap that makes regulating the flow easy and helps prevent spots and spills
  • Color-coded label allows quick identification of reagent
