Demonstrate the construction and operation of AC and DC generators with this Hand-driven AC/DC Generator.

A hand-driven pulley is coupled to the smaller dynamo pulley by a rubber belt to give a step-up ratio.

  • Turning the pulley generates AC and DC currents via two commutator circuits graphically printed on the base of the dynamo.
  • The outputs are via 4 mm sockets.
  • Current generation is demonstrated by compatible bulb sockets supplied with the unit.
  • Students can also use generator to quantify by plugging an ammeter to the socket.
