Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Adding 0.2 mL of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: human Hela whole cell, human K562 whole cell, human Jurkat whole cell, human U251 whole cell, rat C6 whole cell, mouse lung tissue. IHC: human lung adenocarcinoma tissue, human appendiceal adenocarcinoma tissue, mouse lung tissue, rat respiratory smooth muscle tissue. Flow: Jurkat cell. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

HBEGF is a growth factor that mediates its effects via EGFR, ERBB2 and ERBB4. It is required for normal cardiac valve formation and normal heart function. HBEGF promotes smooth muscle cell proliferation. It may be involved in macrophage-mediated cellular proliferation. It is mitogenic for fibroblasts, but not endothelial cells. It is able to bind EGF receptor/EGFR with higher affinity than EGF itself and is a far more potent mitogen for smooth muscle cells than EGF. It also acts as a diphtheria toxin receptor.
