R&D Systems™ Human VAP-1/AOC3 (NP_003725) VersaClone cDNA
Description
- Also known as: HPAO; SSAO; VAP1; VAP-1
- VAP1 is a member of the semicarbazide-sensitive amine oxidase family.
- It is a copper amine oxidase that catalyzes the oxidative conversion of amines to aldehydes in the presence of copper and quinone cofactor.
- It is localized to the cell surface, has adhesive properties as well as monoamine oxidase activity, and may be involved in leukocyte trafficking.
- Alterations in levels of VAP1 may be associated with many diseases, including diabetes mellitus.
- Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different proteins have been described.
- The insert is sequence verified and the entire plasmid DNA and insert translated sequences are provided.
- For reasearch use only. Not for use in humans.
