Description
HyClone™ Characterized Fetal Bovine Serum is filtered using 100nm (0.1μm) pore-size filters and processed using True Pool processing technology to ensure consistency in the quality of serum. HyClone™ Characterized FBS is widely used by professionals requiring an extensive biochemical profile and full traceability compliant with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
Characterized FBS is ≤ 25EU/mL Endotoxin and ≤ 25mg/mL Hemoglobin.
- Characterized Fetal Bovine Serum (FBS), Canadian origin, is filtered using 100 nm (0.1 μm) pore size-rated filters and processed using true pool technology to ensure consistency in the quality of the serum (Fig 1). Characterized FBS is widely used by professionals requiring an extensive biochemical profile and full traceability back to the original source. Characterized FBS, Canadian Origin is compliant with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
- Characterized FBS is filtered through three sequential 100 nm (0.1 μm) pore size-rated filters. Before dispensing, each lot of serum is pooled to ensure uniformity and consistency between bottles (true pool technology). Characterized FBS is assayed for gamma globulin, alkaline phosphatase, lactate dehydrogenase, glutamic pyruvic transaminase (SBPT), glutamic oxaloacetic transaminase (SGOT), pH, total protein, albumin, blood urea nitrogen, creatinine, total bilirubin, sodium, potassium, calcium, chloride, inorganic phosphorus, osmolality, iron, total iron binding capacity (TIBC), percent iron saturation, glucose, and IgG. Included assays are subject to change without notice.
