Supplier: BioVendor, LLC RGP027R

Interleukin-13 Receptor Subunit Alpha-2 (IL-13RA2) Human ELISA, 96 wells. Research use only. Immunoassay kit for in vitro quantification of natural or recombinant human IL-13RA2 in serum, plasma, buffered solutions or cell culture medium. Calibration range: 1565000 pg/ml. Detection limit: < 150 pg/ml. Synonyms: IL-13 receptor subunit alpha-2, IL-13R subunit alpha-2, IL-13R-alpha-2, IL13RA2, IL-13R2, Interleukin-13-binding protein, IL-13-binding protein, CD213a2. Summary: IL-13RA2 binds as a monomer with high affinity to IL-13, but not to IL-4. A correlation between the expression level of IL-13RA2 and increased invasiveness as well as metastatic potential of human glioma, breast cancer and pancreatic cancer have been reported. Among normal tissues, IL-13RA2 can be found only in spermatocytes, suggesting that IL-13RA2 can be considered as a good candidate for developing new targeted therapeutics that potentially would exhibit fewer side effects.
