α-Ketoglutaric acid is a naturally occurring ketone derivative of glutaric acid and intermediate of the Krebs cycle. It serves as a nitrogen transporter, antioxidant, anabolic, wound healer, and may have anti-aging properties. Used to treat kidney disease, GI disorders, bacterial infections, liver problems, cataracts, and yeast infections. Commonly sold as a supplement to help combat ammonia toxicity. Agonist of OXGR1. Provided as 10 mg of dry powder. These highly purified, pre-validated control ligands have been used to qualify our InCELL Hunter,  PathHunter and cAMP Hunter cell lines as well as our Assay Ready Kits.
