Description

Demonstrate how a well pump works.

  • Transparent chamber shows the inner workings of a lift pump

How it works:

  • Lowering the handle draws water from the basin into the lower half of the chamber
  • Raising the handle lowers the piston, which closes the bottom valve and forces the water into the upper chamber
  • Repeat pumping action until the upper half of the chamber overflows out of the spout
