B-Phycoerythrin (B-PE) is a fluorescent protein from phycobiliprotein family. It has a primary absorption peak at 546 nm and a secondary peak at 563 nm. When excited at 546 nm it has a strong fluorescence emission with its maximum at 575 nm.
