Description

This Linear Expansion Apparatus is fitted on heavy channel base with adjusting screw and micrometer screw on opposite ends.

  • Consists of metal rod 500 mm L, 4.5 mm dia.
  • Rod enclosed in well-lagged metal tube with 3 tubules for steam inlet, outlet, thermometer.
  • Rod to be investigated supported in steam jacket by detachable rubber bungs at tube ends.
  • Micrometer screw reading to 0.01 mm for measuring expansion.
  • Supplied with one each of aluminum, brass, iron expansion rods, without thermometer.
