Description: This B33fc8k monoclonal antibody reacts with mouse Ly-6k, a member of the Ly6/uPAR superfamily. Ly-6k is a GPI linked protein predominantly found on the cell surface. One study suggests expression may also be non-membranous. Expression is found on B cells and reported to be on plasma cells as well as cells in the testis. Using the B33fc8k monoclonal antibody, expression is on a B lymphocyte cell subset in the spleen that correlates to transitional cells (CD23-IgM-). In humans Ly-6k has been found associated with carcinomas of the head and testis. Applications Reported: This B33fc8k antibody has been reported for use in flow cytometric analysis. Applications Tested: This B33fc8k antibody has been tested by flow cytometric analyis of mouse splenocytes. This can be used at less than or equal to 1 μg per test. A test is defined as the amount (μg) of antibody that will stain a cell sample in a final volume of 100 μL. Cell number should be determined empirically but can range from 10^5 to 10^8 cells/test. It is recommended that the antibody be carefully titrated for optimal performance in the assay of interest. Excitation: 488-561 nm; Emission: 578 nm; Laser: Blue Laser, Green Laser, Yellow-Green Laser. Filtration: 0.2 μm post-manufacturing filtered.
