Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

AA Sequence of recombinant protein: GSEVSDKRTC VSLTTQRLPV SRIKTYTITE GSLRAVIFIT KRGLKVCADP QATWVRDVVR SMDRKSNTRN NMIQTKPTGT QQSTNTAVTL TG. Preparation: Produced from sera of rabbits immunized with highly pure Recombinant Human Lymphotactin (XCL1). Anti-Human Lymphotactin (XCL1)-specific antibody was purified by affinity chromatography and then biotinylated. Sandwich ELISA: To detect hLymphotactin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 μL/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1.0 μg/mL of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with PeproTech Polyclonal Anti-Human Lymphotactin (500-P40) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of Recombinant hLymphotactin. Western Blot: To detect hLymphotactin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 μg/mL. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for Recombinant hLymphotactin is 1.5-3.0 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions. 500-P40BT-1MG will be provided as 2 x 500 μg

Lymphotactin, otherwise known as XCL1, is a member of the C-chemokine family that uniquely acts as a chemoattractant for lymphocytes, but not monocytes or neutrophils, suggesting an important regulatory role in lymphocyte trafficking and inflammation. Lymphotactin, shown to signal through chemokine XC receptor 1 (XCR1), is detected at the highest level in the spleen and at low levels in the lungs, small intestine and colon, and is abundantly and selectively expressed by activated T cells, in particular CD8+ T cells, and is also produced by NK cells.
