Invitrogen™ Paclitaxel (Taxol Equivalent) - for use in research only

Description
Paclitaxel (formerly referred to as taxol in some scientific literature) is the approved generic name for the anticancer pharmaceutical Taxol (a registered trademark of Bristol-Myers Squibb Co). Paclitaxel promotes tubulin assembly, producing aggregates that cannot be depolymerized by dilution, calcium ions, cold or a number of microtubule-disrupting drugs. Cultured cells treated with paclitaxel are blocked in the G2 and M phases of the cell cycle.
