Description

This shuttle vector contains the complete ORF for the gene of interest, along with a Kozak consensus sequence for optimal translation initiation. It is inserted NotI to AscI. The gene insert is flanked with convenient multiple cloning sites which can be used to easily cut and transfer the gene cassette into your desired expression vector.

• NPSR1 is a member of the vasopressin/oxytocin subfamily of G protein-coupled receptors.
• It acts as a receptor for neuropeptide S and affects a variety of cellular processes through its signaling.
• Increased expression of NPSR1 in ciliated cells of the respiratory epithelium and in bronchial smooth muscle cells is associated with asthma.
• Polymorphisms in NPSR1 have also been associated with asthma susceptibility, panic disorders, inflammatory bowel disease, and rheumatoid arthritis.
• Alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different proteins have been described.
