Description

A two-chain glycoprotein gonadotropic hormone

Follicle stimulating hormone induces maturation of the Graafian follicles of the ovary and promotes the development of germinal cells in males. FSH regulates Sertoli cells by acting on G-protein-linked cell surface FSH receptors. It activates cytosolic soluble protein tyrosine kinase (CyPTk).
