MP Biomedicals™ Hyaluronidase, Streptomyces hyalurolyticus
Description
Hyaluronidase is the enzyme that degrades hyaluronic acid in mucopolysaccharides to low molecular saccharides. Hyaluronidase purified from Streptomyeshyalurolyticus is distinct from the known hyaluronidase in its substrate specificity and mechanism of action. This enzyme is quite specific for hyaluronic acid. Various types of chondroitin sulfate (A,B,C,D,,E), chondroitin, heparin, keratan sulfate and chitin are not attacked by this enzyme. This enzyme splits the N-acetylglucosaminic linkages in hyaluronic acid eliminatively , yielding ▿-4,5-unsaturated tetrasaccharides and hexasaccharides as the end-product.
