Invitrogen™ Myeloperoxidase Polyclonal Antibody
Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier: Invitrogen™ PA516672
Description
PA5-16672 targets Myeloperoxidase in IHC (P) applications and shows reactivity with Human, mouse, and Rat samples. The PA5-16672 immunogen is purified human granulocytic MPO. PA5-16672 detects MPO-DNA complexes in purified PMA-induced human neutrophil extracellular traps in ELISA application. Concentration is not determined for this particular antibody. The final product is manufactured from stock material based upon a dilution ratio. The antibody is still quality tested to ensure expected performance and lot-to-lot consistency.
Myeloperoxidase (MPO) is a heme protein that is synthesized during myeloid differentiation and is a major component of neutrophil azurophilic granules. It is produced as a single chain precursor and subsequently cleaved into a light and heavy chain. The mature MPO is a tetramer composed of 2 light chains and 2 heavy chains. This enzyme is responsible for producing hypohalous acids that are central to the microbicidal activity of neutrophils. Diseases that are associated with MPO include Myeloperoxidase Deficiency and Alzheimer's Disease, Familial, 1.
