Rabbit Recombinant Monoclonal Antibody

Specificity: reacts to N6-Methyladenosine (m6A) in both RNA and DNA. No cross reactivity with non-methylated adenosine. Recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies are produced using in vitro expression systems. The expression systems are developed by cloning in the specific antibody DNA sequences from immunoreactive rabbits. Then, individual clones are screened to select the best candidates for production. The advantages of using recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibodies include: better specificity and sensitivity, lot-to-lot consistency, animal origin-free formulations, and broader immunoreactivity to diverse targets due to larger rabbit immune repertoire.

N6-methyladenosine (m6A), or methylation of the N6 position of adenosine is a posttranscriptional modification of RNA. Due to a lack of analytical methods, N6-methyladenosine is poorly understood, but new evidence suggests that it is a very common base modification and important physiological regulator. N6-methyladenosine is markedly increased throughout brain development, and is enriched near stop codons, microRNA-binding sites and UTRs, which indicates a fundamental role in the regulation of gene expression. N6-methyladenosine is also highly conserved between human and mouse.
