Further, it is used as a catalyst in cross-coupling reactions.It is used in the preparation of paramagnetic trans-diaquabis(N,N-diethylethylenediamine) nickel(II) bromide and diamagnetic bis(N,N-diethylethylenediamine)nickel(II) bromide.
