The Novex Tricine Welcome Pack and Mini Blot Modules provide all of the necessary Novex gels and buffers needed to begin using the Mini Gel Tank plus two Mini Blot Modules for wet transfer. Each Mini Gel Tank can accommodate up to two gels per run or up to two Mini Blot Modules for wet transfer.

The Novex Tricine Welcome Pack and Mini Blot Modules provide all of the necessary Novex gels and buffers needed to begin using the Mini Gel Tank plus two Mini Blot Modules for wet transfer. The Mini Gel Tank is compatible with all Invitrogen precast and handcast protein gels including Novex gels, NuPAGE gels, and Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels. Each Mini Gel Tank can accommodate up to two gels per run or up to two Mini Blot Modules for wet transfer. The unique tank design enables convenient side-by-side gel loading and enhanced viewing during use.

About the Mini Gel Tank
The Mini Gel Tank is compatible with Novex gels, NuPAGE gels, and Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels. Each Mini Gel Tank can accommodate up to two gels per run. The unique tank design enables convenient side-by-side gel loading and enhanced viewing during use. Run times may vary depending on buffer conditions and power supplies being used.

About Novex Tricine gels
Novex Tricine gels provide separation of low molecular weight proteins and peptides. The Tricine system is a modification of the tris-glycine discontinuous buffer system developed by Schaegger and von Jagow specifically for peptides and low molecular weight proteins. In this system the tricine replaces the glycine in the running buffer, resulting in more efficient stacking and de-stacking of low molecular weight proteins and higher resolution of smaller peptides.

Transfer
For transfer of proteins to a membrane, we recommend using Novex Tris-Glycine Transfer Buffer (Cat. No. LC3675) for traditional wet transfer using the Mini Blot Module (Cat. No. B1000).

About the Mini Blot Module
The Mini Blot Module is a wet transfer device used exclusively with the Mini Gel Tank. The tank accommodates one blot module per chamber, or two blot modules total with the side-by-side layout. The Mini Blot Module is compatible all Invitrogen mini gels (blot size: 8.5 x 8 cm). The blot module accommodates one mini gel per wet transfer. The universal connection and molded gasket make the module easy to use, while the inner core of the module allows for use of less methanol-based transfer buffer per wet transfer (250 mL per gel). At the recommended conditions and constant voltage, proteins can be transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes typically in 30 to 60 minutes.
