About the Mini Gel Tank

The Mini Gel Tank is compatible with Novex gels, NuPAGE gels, and Bolt Bis-Tris Plus gels. Each Mini Gel Tank can accommodate up to two gels per run. The unique tank design enables convenient side-by-side gel loading and enhanced viewing during use.

About NuPAGE Tris-Acetate gels

NuPAGE Tris-Acetate protein gels provide excellent separation of large molecular weight proteins. NuPAGE Tris-Acetate gels are high performance polyacrylamide gels that simulate the denaturing or the native conditions of the traditional Laemmli system. The unique buffer formulation maintains a low operating pH during electrophoresis, resulting in superior resolution of proteins compared to traditional Tris-glycine SDS-PAGE gels.

Transfer

For transferring your proteins to a membrane, we recommend using for NuPAGE Transfer Buffer (Cat. No. NP0006) for traditional wet transfer using the Mini Blot Module (B1000).

About the Mini Blot Module

The Mini Blot Module is a wet transfer device used exclusively with the Mini Gel Tank. The tank accommodates one blot module per chamber or two blot modules total with the side-by-side layout. The Mini Blot Module is compatible all Invitrogen mini gels (blot size: 8.5 x 8 cm). The blot module accommodates one mini gel per wet transfer. The universal connection and molded gasket make the module easy to use, while the inner core of the module allows for use of less methanol-based transfer buffer per wet transfer (250 mL per gel). At the recommended conditions and constant voltage, proteins can be transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes in 60 minutes.

Convenient to use

NuPAGE Tris-Acetate WedgeWell-format gels have innovative wedge-shaped wells that allow up to two times more sample load volume than other 1.0-mm-thick gels. The wedge-shaped wells also have larger openings, making sample loading easier.
