Invitrogen™ Opsin 4 Polyclonal Antibody

Description
PA1-780 detects mouse and rat melanopsin. PA1-780 has been successfully used in Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunocytochemistry procedures. By Western blot, this antibody detects ~53 and ~85 kDa proteins representing overexpressed unglycosylated and glycosylated melanopsin from HEK 293 cells (does not work well on endogenously expressed protein). Immunofluorescence and immunocytochemistry staining of melanopsin in rat retinal ganglion cells (RGCs) can be performed using PA1-780. PA1-780 immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to residues K M(1) N S P S E S R V P S S L T Q D P S F(19) of rat melanopsin.
