Thermo Scientific™ Tryptone Water (Dehydrated)
Description
Detect indole producing coliforms using Thermo Scientific™ Oxoid™ Tryptone Water (Dehydrated). The ability of coliforms to break down the amino acid tryptophan with the formulation of indole is an important property which is used for the classification and identification of bacteria1,2. Tryptone Water is a good substrate for the production of indole because of its high content of tryptophan and it is more reliable than Peptone Water for this purpose.
Use Trypotone Water for the detection of indole production by coliforms.
