Description

Crosslink amines to sulfhydryls with this short, water-soluble crosslinker composed of sulfo-NHS-ester and maleimide groups at ends of an aliphatic, 6-atom (7.3A) spacer arm.

Thermo Scientific™ Pierce Sulfo-GMBS is a water-soluble amine-to-sulfhydryl crosslinker that contains NHS-ester and maleimide reactive groups at opposite ends of a short spacer arm (7.3 Ås).

Highlights:

  • Has a low potential for eliciting crosslinker initiated immune response
  • GMBS and Sulfo-GMBS are less immunogenic than SMCC
  • Soluble in water and aqueous buffer systems
