Description

Potent and selective herpes simplex virus (HSV) helicase primase inhibitor

Pritelivir is a potent and selective herpes simplex virus (HSV) helicase primase inhibitor. Pritelivir inhibits viral replication in Vero cells (IC50 = 0.02 μM for HSV-1 and HSV-2). It also reduces β-amyloid and P-tau levels in Vero cells. Pritelivir is active against clinical isolates and porcine and bovine HSV strains but displays reduced activity against varicella zoster virus and cytomegalovirus in vitro. In addition, the compound exhibits antiviral activity in HSV infected mice.
