This product contains high quality pelletized activated bituminous coal carbon. This product will remove organic pollutants, stains, and entrained toxic gases in aquatic systems (marine and freshwater safe). Pore size is in the 20 to 2,000 Angstrom range and is designed to remove large particles of organic material and organic/inorganic molecules. Steam activated with very high iodine and molasses numbers, this carbon is ideal for use with sensitive species of fish. Will not leach phosphates or promote undesirable organic growth and is suitable for sensitive reef systems! Engineered for superb water flow, this carbon will not easily clog like small granular or small pelleted carbons. Out performs other carbon especially coconut shell!
