Description

Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody

Human PSCA shares 66% amino acid (aa) sequence identity with mouse PSCA. Reconstitute with 0.2 mL of distilled water to yield a concentration of 500 μg/mL. Positive Control - WB: Rat Stomach Tissue, Mouse Stomach Tissue. Store at -20°C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4°C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20°C for six months. Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

PSCA (Prostate Stem Cell antigen) is a cell surface antigen, which is overexpressed in approximately40% of primary prostate cancers and in as many as 100% of metastatic ones. PSCA is also overexpressed in a majority of transitional cell and pancreatic carcinomas. Antibody directed against PSCA inhibits tumorigenesis, slows tumor growth, prolongs survival and prevents metastasis in a preclinical zenograft model indicating that PSCA may have utility as a prognostic marker and/or therapeutic target in prostate cancer.
