Description

Designed to prepare sub-populations of CD4 mouse T cells via high affinity negative selection

CD4 is an approximately 55kDa type I transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed predominantly on thymocytes and a subset of mature T cells. In humans, CD4 is also expressed to a lesser extent on monocytes and macrophage related cells.

Recovery of CD3+/4+ cells from total CD3+/4+ cells loaded ranged between 20% and 32%
Purity of recovered cells ranged between 86% and 92% with no detectable CD3+/8+ cells
Leukocyte suspensions are incubated with a mixture of monoclonal antibodies and then loaded onto T Cell Subset Columns
B cells, nonselected T cells and monocytes bind to glass beads coated with anti-immunoglobulin via both F(ab) and Fc interactions
